I have not tested the fixes directly on GNU/Hurd.
But the main difference for the build is the absence of
<linux/magic.h>, and I tested building with HAVE_LINUX_MAGIC_H in
config.h commented out.
Without the two patches the build fails similar to the buildd log, and
with them included the build passes.
