So apt seems to have know about this package, and as near as I can tell has no reason to claim that the package does not exist.
I guess there should be some sort debugging or verbose progress option here, for apt-get to report on whatever the issue is, here, which prevents it from seeing and installing this package. (Or at least a more informative error message than "no installation candidate"...)
Or, if the package matching logic is really that complex, that it's normal for it to fail this way, then that needs more user visibility (tracing tools, or whatever)?
