Package: apt Version: 0.8.10.3+squeeze1 Severity: important User: debian-qa@lists.debian.org Usertags: piuparts Hi, there are several piuparts squeeze->wheezy upgrade tests failing with E: Could not perform immediate configuration on 'phonon-backend-vlc'. Please see man 5 apt.conf under APT::Immediate-Configure for details. (2) see the following list: http://piuparts.debian.org/squeeze2wheezy/unknown_failures.html All these packages install fine in wheezy. I tried to minimize one of these failures to a smaller package set and came up with libqt4-qt3support libakonadi-kde4 libsmokeqt4-dev Receipe for reproduction: * setup minimal squeeze chroot (do not install recommends) * apt-get install libqt4-qt3support libakonadi-kde4 libsmokeqt4-dev (again without recommends) * switch sources.list to wheezy * apt-get dist-upgrade A full piuparts log is attached. I'm assigning this bug to apt/squeeze in the hope that the apt developers may debug this (probably a dependecy hell during the upgrade) and have an idea how the involved packages can be changed (in wheezy) so that this upgrade issue is prevented - in order to allow smooth upgrades from squeeze using squeeze's toolchain. Please reassign to a package that can be fixed. (There is a similar bug (#645713) involving gnome and the recommendation was to drop one Breaks.) Andreas
