Upstream did a 1.6.1 release, which includes the mentioned revert.
I've cloned and built the 1.6.1 release locally (on top of the Debian packaging
repo) and it fixes the annoying problem. I don't have access to pkg-xorg, so I'm
pushing my changes (on top of your repo) at: https://github.com/rickysarraf/libi
nput
Please see if you should include this for Stretch. I already had the issue show
on both my laptops. And with 1.6.1, the issue is fixed.
