I've come across http://askubuntu.com/questions/323437 which suggests a simpler solution: dropping the "-a" switch from the winemenubuilder.exe command-line in wine.inf. I haven't tried this out (yet) so I don't know if it affects file associations inside Wine. Regards, Stephen
