Re: no cdaudio with alsa but ok with oss



What sound do you currently have?  

Did you check OSS emulation in the kernel build?

CD players, mpg123, and ogg123 want to use /dev/dsp
which only appears if you have OSS emulation (to
the best of my knowledge).

Do you only have one soundcard?
Do you only have one CD player?
