A ver prueba a configurar al xorg.conf con los datos que has obtenido.

en mi salida de /proc/bus/input/devices en debian no me da mouse3... cuando se la pongo me
manda un error de dispositivo desconocido. (sí aparece en el /proc/bus/input/devices de ubuntu live)

Según la diferencia entre los dos /proc/bus/input/devices tanto en el cd live como en mi debian, ¿no será que mi
kernel no logra detectar el device del mouse como sí lo ve en el cd live?... la verdad no ha hecho la prueba conectando
un mouse usb pero presumo que el mouse0 se refiere presisamente a este dispositivo...
ahora, debería recompilar nuevamente e incluir esos modulos que me dices?
(i2c, bitmap, ddc, extmod, freetype, glx, int10, vbe, dbe, extmod, y algunos otros que aparecen en Xorg.0.log)
alguna otra sugerencia que no sea instalar ubuntu??
