(important) problem of luatexja-fontspec
Hi Norbert and all,
I recently noticed a problem of LuaTeX-ja in Debian/testing.
The problem is
* LaTeX2e 2017.01.01 is released and is in Debian/testing
* LuaLaTex uses TU encoding by default, and fontspec is updated
* luatexja-fontspec of LuaTeX-ja was not compatible with
the new fontspec
* the author of LuaTeX-ja updated luatexja-fontspec at 2017.01.24
to fix the problem
I guess he uploaded it to CTAN and so TeXLive but I don't
know when it comes into Debian package, and further,
Debian is in freeze state already. So I write this e-mail.
The error is critical (for LuaLaTeX-ja users) and lualatex
fails to compile even very simple TeX file as follows:
(/usr/share/texlive/texmf-dist/tex/luatex/luatexja/addons/luatexja-fontspec-24.
sty
! Undefined control sequence.
l.352 \__fontspec_define_feature_option:nnnnn
{CJKShape}{JIS2004}{20}{100}{+jp04}
?
I installed manually the new LuaTeX-ja in /usr/local and
the problem is certainly fixed.
So I believe Debian must update LuaTeX-ja (texlive-lang-japanese)
for stretch.
If you need any further information please let me know.
Thanks for your maintenance.
Best regards, 2017-2-8(Wed)
