Well, the lltxplatform.so is IMHO not LuaTeX specific, but could be used
by any program, which uses the API. I'd use it as any ordinary shared lib.
I tried to do so, but failed to compile the so lib. The configure script
promised in the README is not present and autoconf fails to regenerate
it, due to an incompatible version.
