debdiff investigations: The dh_installtex switch; tex-common upload

Hi,

I've done a first round of debdiffing, namely between the version on
tug.org and the version built with the new dh_installtex.

There's nothing suspicious in the debdiffs, except one thing that's
probably not related to tex-common.  Therefore I think we should upload
tex-common to experimental.

The one surprising change is this one:

$ cat texlive-metapost.fdebdiff 
[The following lists of changes regard files as different if they have
different names, permissions or owners.]

Files in first .deb but not in second
-------------------------------------
-rw-r--r--  root/root   /usr/share/doc/texlive-metapost/metapost/textpath/CHANGES

Any idea what is going on here?

Also, does anyone know why TeXlive 2007 doesn't have mp.pool?
