hard drive recognition for >2.4.16 kernels



dmesg returns this relevant info for 2.4.16:

For 2.4.22, 2.4.23, and 2.6.0, "hde" and "/dev/ide/host2" show up as "hda" and "/dev/ide/host0".

The bios shows the hard drive as the first primary drive. The computer's got only one hard drive, by the way.
