Re: wu-ftpd broken in testing?

Well at least it is not only me, I have the same thing in my auth log as well so it seems pam broke these.

The same for me with wu-ftpd... However I also tried proftpd, ftpd, at
none of them worked after the upgrade (testing). Seems to some authentication problem. Both anonymous and real-users are
affected...

Tail -f /var/log/auth indicates the following error:
pam_unix: authentication failure: logname= uid=0 ruser= ...

Does anyone have an idea why the uid=0 and ruser is an empty string,
even if I pass a valid username and password?

Thanks,
Tamas

Subject: wu-ftpd broken in testing?

I just did an apt-get upgrade on testing and it updated a few things such as pam on two seperate boxes and now wu-ftpd is broken on both boxes (installed proftpd and that still works) . I get the prompt to login and type in my username and password but it won't allow me to login. The message in my sys log is ACCESS DENIED (error reading access

file. Its rights are fine, I even opened it all the way up just to test

it and I get the same error.
