apt-get update &&
apt-get upgrade

If you were using 'stable' Debian release, then you should edit
/etc/apt/sources.list and add a line similar to:

deb ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free

Also note this option:

apt-get dist-upgrade

This should do the rest automatically.
