Bug#1010196: RM: elog/3.1.3-1-1

Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org
Usertags: rm

Control: clone -1 -2
Control: retitle -1 RM: elog/3.1.3-1-1 (from bullseye)
Control: retitle -2 RM: elog/3.1.3-1-1 (from buster)

Dear Stable release managers,

Discussing the state of elog with upstream, and the subsequent removal
of elog from unstable, we would like to ask to remove elog as well on
the next buster and bullseye point releases (cloning this bug
accordingly).

https://tracker.debian.org/news/1320035/removed-313-1-1-from-unstable/

The version in Debian has several issues, while they can probably be
continued to be patched for the old version, upstream advised against
continuing to ship the old version, which was almost the same since
back in stretch.

Given the low usage in Debian itself, we can opt for the removal of
elog from buster and bullseye.

Regards,
Salvatore
