You've missed the crucial steps:

steve@gashuffer:~$ apt-cache rdepends kdnssd
kdnssd
Reverse Depends:
  kdenetwork
  education-standalone
steve@gashuffer:~$ apt-cache rdepends kdenetwork
kdenetwork
Reverse Depends:
  kdelibs4
  kde

I'm guessing a few people will install kde on Debian, but I could be
wrong.
