Strange, I expected this to fail on my system, but it works perfectly here (squeeze->wheezy->jessie->buster), with kdesudo config purged. It also worked without kdesudo purged. I'm using the standard Xorg session rather than Wayland, on an up-to-date buster system as of Fri, 29 Mar 2019 21:27:51 -0400 The commands triggered by the menu entry are: 7789 ? Sl 0:00 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libexec/kf5/kdesu -c KDE_FULL_SESSION=true XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/run/user/1000 DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS=unix:path=/run/user/1000/bus /usr/bin/partitionmanager --dontsu 7793 pts/35 Ss+ 0:00 /usr/bin/sudo -u root /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libexec/kf5/kdesu_stub - If I were to guess, maybe the su support is broken but sudo support is intact?
