I'm not sure if the bug was generated due to a missing dependency, or was a bug in the kauth sddm helper. But I can't reproduce the issue using the current unstable packages.

Are you still able to reproduce the issue?

If so, could you provide a list of the packages installed (dpkg --get-selections) in the machine that triggers the issue?
