Package: cupsys Version: 1.1.20final-15 Severity: normal Consider: # rm -f /etc/cups/lpoptions # lpoptions -l lpoptions: No printers!?! # lpadmin -p lw1 \ -m hp_laserjet_8100_series.ppd \ -v socket://gauss.newton.cam.ac.uk:9100 \ -o InputSlot=Envelope # grep DefaultInputSlot /etc/cups/ppd/lw1.ppd *DefaultInputSlot: Envelope Now I connect to the web interface and select Printers. Then I select Configure Printer for lw1. On the form that results, Media Source is listed as Tray1. This is very confusing. In my opinion, it should display the current setting of InputSlot. I'd try to suggest a fix, but I haven't managed to get my head around cgi-bin/admin.c (yet?). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.25lie1 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages cupsys depends on: hi adduser 3.51 Add and remove users and groups hi debconf 1.4.16 Debian configuration management sy hi gs-esp 7.07.1-1 The Ghostscript Postscript interpr hi libc6 2.3.2.ds1-11 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an hi libcupsimage2 1.1.20final-15 Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - hi libcupsys2 1.1.20final-15 Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - hi libgnutls7 0.8.12-5 GNU TLS library - runtime library hi libpam0g 0.76-15 Pluggable Authentication Modules l hi libpaper1 1.1.14 Library for handling paper charact hi libslp1 1.0.11-7 OpenSLP libraries hi zlib1g 1:1.2.1-4 compression library - runtime -- debconf information: * cupsys/raw-print: false

Dear bug submitter, This bug was reported against a very old version of cups (older than in the current stable Debian version "Etch"). About a year ago, Martin-Eric Racine asked for feedback whether the bug still applied to the current Debian Etch version, but we did not get any feedback. In order to not keep around old, hardware-specific, and inactive bugs around forever, I close this bug now. Please report back if you still experience the problem with the current version in Etch; if you can test Lenny/unstable, that would be highly appreciated, of course. I will reopen this bug then. Thank you for your report! Martin -- Martin Pitt | http://www.piware.de Ubuntu Developer (www.ubuntu.com) | Debian Developer (www.debian.org)Attachment: signature.asc
