While it looks nice on the newer PowerBooks and iBooks with their soft
white light, I find it quite irritating on older PowerBooks such as
the Lombard and Pismo, which have a fairly large green light.

Send a patch that modularizes the feature, or adds a switch in /proc
or sysctl or whatever :)
