X starts, but it displays strange things

The video=aty128fb... is there
UseFBDev also is there. When I remove it, the screen become black with the
backlight at its maximum intensity and I must hard restart my machine.

I also have a window manager installed. It's twm. I even can quit X with the
mouse menu, but I cant see it... I just see some strange lines in the
screen, as I said.
