The first time the user starts OOo, our wrapper script checks for a ~/.openoffice directory, and if this is not present it runs setup in autoresponse mode. In this way, the user does not have to answer any questions at all. Only if the user explicitly clicks on the 'setup' menu item will they ever see the OOo setup screens. > - I have not seen any 'install' script in tar.gz. There is a setup I've a feeling that 1.0.1 may have accidentally not included that script. > - What is the better debian package for open office please ? If you are using Debian, use our packages - they are integrated with apt and perform the user autoinstallation that you want. Chris
