Re: tar and ls segfault, xfree runs???

I've compiled my kernel from cvs (using the 2_4_4 tag, but i tired two
other versions as well) for a diskless machine.
xfree86 runs fine on the machine (that's what i want to use it for)
but "tar" and "ls" segfault (among others)
I believe i have compiled the kernel without ext2 support which might
cause this problems, has someone experienced this problem as well?
You're probably running binaries linked with pthreads and you're running
into a "sysmips" bug. I've attached a patch from Florian which works
for me. I don't know why this hasn't been applied in the cvs tree (I
assume you mean Ralf's cvs tree?) since it only makes things better,
even if it isn't *the* perfect solution.
