which tool to build a "make-live friendly" local mirror ?

hi, after (as you know) experiencing some problems with unstable, I found
one which allows to reach the end and get the iso. So I decided to have my
local mirror of it (the unstable which works), but debmirror is not a
great idea, then I tried apt-move ... quick, but cdebootstrap complains no
release.gpg, I tried some tricks but unsuccessfully.
However, before asking more about apt-move (btw not here, I guess), a
question: you who aswered me before said he had a local mirror: which tool
did you use to make it ?
