Bug#765503: lintian: privacy-breach should be a warning, not an error
Package: lintian
Version: 2.5.27
Severity: normal
Hello,
I noticed the introduction of a new warning affecting some of my packages:
privacy-breach-may-use-debian-package
While I am happy we have that in Lintian, I don't think that should be
considered as an error but treated as a warning.
AFAIK, it does not violate the policy and it does not break the normal behavior
of the software.
Thanks for considering lowering the severity of this issue,
Sylvestre
