Package: lintian
Version: 1.22.9
Severity: wishlist

According to the policy (section 2.5), lintian should check if the
priority of the package is >= all its dependencies. If not, the buildd
reports 'problems' for the package (as viewed from the qa.debian.org
interface).

Checks for package priority inversion are already done by debcheck, so
there's no need to keep this bug open as an idea seed for later work.
This is outside the scope of lintian, which only does checks internal to a
single package.

Closing, as I don't see any benefit in keeping this open tagged wontfix.
