I download the latest Debian Live CD from http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/release/current-live/i386/iso-cd/debian-live-504-i386-gnome-desktop.iso, and use it to start my Lenovo x100e. It seems all the hardware is working well with the latest debian build, thanks for your help :) Best regards, kzsyz _________________________________________________________________ Beijing, China > From: my_linux@live.com > To: debian-laptop@lists.debian.org > Subject: Re: Install Debian on laptop Lenovo x1004 > Date: Wed, 9 Jun 2010 18:05:49 +0100 > > From: kzsyz > Sent: Wednesday, June 09, 2010 4:24 PM > To: debian-laptop@lists.debian.org > Subject: Fw: Install Debian on laptop Lenovo x1004 > > Sorry, the laptop should be Lenovo thinkpad x100e > > -- > > I think the Lenovo X100e might be too new for Debian Lenny; see > http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Category:X100e where newer Linux distros have > been used. > > It might be worth creating a min network install (see docs) or Lenny Live > boot disc / USB stick to see how much hardware is detected and take it from > there.
