Hi, welcome to the forum.

Thanks!

You can post your Laptops further details, and what you use ACPI or
APMD, etc. THis might help. Or you can post the script you are using to
suspend. But before all this, you may check out the following site, and
you can possibly find information of other people who have linux running
on their laptops with suspend and resume working.

Try this

I currently use a Compaq Presario 2200 (model 2210CA).  I looked at the web site mentioned, and it had FC3.  I tried echoing 1, 2, 3, and what else it told me.  I think i may have my solution.  I installed Ubuntu Linux to try it out, and suspend semi-works.  It gives some messages, put my laptop in a windows like suspend (good).  But i have to activate an acpi event to get it back (close lid or press button)  after which my hard drive whirls, then my keyboard lights blink and then off goes my laptop.  Could this be because i only have an 8 MB partition file?  The hibernate fails (guess because of swap partition size).

Any help works (and what kernel config i need also)
