I am now using a newer version of the orinoco driver, and I get far less
problems. I attached a mail I read in debian-user.

I also noticed that the card likes to die when I use Ad-Hoc, FWIW.

I also tried the 0.13beta1, and it really works ;-)

No the card dies after transmitting 1GiB, that it is an increase of
10'000%!

I am happy.
