Problems with LAN card

Hello,

I have installed Debian Hurd and when booting the computer freezes. The
last part of the error message I get is:

rtl8139.c:v0.99B 4/7/98 Donald Becker

eth0: RealTek RTL8139 at 0xd400, IRQ 3, 00:e0:18:c6:sd:dd.
  PCI latency timer (CFLT) is unreasonably low at 0. Setting to 64
clocks.

I installed it with a Debian Hurd cd and also using crosshurd, and the
result is the same in both cases.

Any hints about the problem?
