Bug#843194: chirp: running chirp as non-root



That means add your user with a command on the command line like `sudo adduser myusername dialout`. Then you'll be good to use your USB serial ports to the radio without root access.

As it says in the manual - to use chirp with a serial port (which is
what you are doing via the USB connection) your user needs to be a
member of the 'dialout' group.
