Great that you are working on it,
We currently use postgresql 8.1 and postgis 1.1 on our production
server and this bug is very serious for us (and I think not only for
us, anyone with SQL access to the server can cause a server crash!)):
we would highly appreciate it if this can be fixed as soon as
possible.
