Most members of the currently small Ubuntu fonts team
(https://launchpad.net/~fonts) are members of the Debian fonts team.
I'll invite the others, along with people I've gotten in touch with and
who have shown interest in this area to join the Alioth project.

There's also a font BoF scheduled on the 17th at 16:30 in BoF Room 2
