This says only what is the default.
Most users don't even know what's the difference. Even worse, if they get
hit by one of many of systemd's bugs, they'll just curse and either accept
lossage or consider changing distributions rather than investigate the
cause.
Another example:
mbox vs Maildir. Even with today's massive size of emails, we somehow still
default to mbox. And this makes Maildir a rarity despite its advantages.
Compare stats of bash vs zsh, exim4 vs postfix, etc...
Or, for an example where no one can claim technical superiority, consider
GTK widget styles...
The power of default is enormous.
