If you've built a local backport and done some testing, that
certainly helps my confidence for uploading it.
I've done exactly the following:
- Installed a clean virtual machine with Bullseye.
- Installed build-essential and devscripts.
- Enabled the APT sources for main.
- Altered these sources pointing towards Bookworm.
- apt-get update && apt-get source openldap
- Enabled building the TOTP module (see bug #1023855) (didn't
bother altering changelog for my own purpose)
- Installed additional build requirements.
- Wait... wait... wait....
- Manually installed using dpkg -i.
In this scenario, it seemed to work like a charm. If you would like,
I could upload the .deb files somewhere, however like I said I
didn't bother altering the changelog.
