Hi, I added the following sentence to the bpo contribution document: + Do not do any changes to the package beside of backporting stuff. So please don't import any patches from other branches (even security). If you want to do something like that you should backport the whole version. (For oldstable backports from stable-security are fully valid.). If security is concerned you can even backport from unstable. If you are unsure about an upload, please ask. Alex
