At least, I've checked the package to install correctly on an
backports-enabled host, and allows to successfully build the
openldap package.

Could you please check the interdiff as well? At a first
glance, it seems just like that only the relevant changes were
reverted, as in:

Although I'm not sure whether the .po files were updated
correctly.
It may make sense to remove the aforementioned changes from the
genuine 7.0.15 from testing and diff -r the resulting trees.
From what I've seen, the differences should be minimal
(debian/changelog?)
