alpha sx164 and DMA problems of IDE controller

Hi!

Our pdc ide dma controller produces dma timeouts/errors and falls back
to pio mode on our sx164 alpha:

Do you have any idea who can be the culprit of this? Is it possible the
our alpha is hardware sided not able to work with DMA? We have new hard
disks and new UDMA100 cables, so this shouldn't be the problem.

Thanks a lot for any suggestions to track down this problem.

Best wishes

Norbert
