Your kernel is hanging himself when trying to access the harddisk and the
CD-ROM simultaneously.
There's a boot-time option to work around the problem, but it slows your
harddisk access down quite a lot. I don't exactly remember what the option
is, but you should be able to find it in the archives of the m68k-build
list, which you can find through http://www.nocrew.org
