i/o error dvd+rw-tools
Hello,
I am running Suse 10.0, kernel 2.6.13-15.12, and trying to use a BTC
DRW1108IM to burn a linux iso to a dvd-r (TDK brand). I am
getting i/o errors no matter what I try. I've read through the
details at http://fy.chalmers.se/~appro/linux/DVD+RW/ and tried all the
tricks listed there, but haven't gotten anything to work, yet.
I'm running dvd+rw-tools-5.21.4.10.8.

Any tips greatly appreciated. I'm tired of making coasters, so if
nothing will work at all, I am willing to dump the BTC drive and get
something else. If that is the consensus, please recommend
current brands/models that are verified to work.
Also, I do know SuSE is using a customized variant of cdrecord, but I
don't think that specifically is causing the problem here. The
BTC drive burns cd-r's fine.
