Debian Polish

Debian is accessible in Polish language too. Starting from installation of the system, through user interface of the majority of popular programs and the system messages and finishing on documentation. Obviously, there is many things still to be done in this matter, but probably even now you can use Debian without knowing English.

Furthermore, there exists a strong Debian users society in Poland, visible by multiple web sites, mailing lists, and forums. At the moment, there is 13 official Debian developers from Poland registered in the project.

Polish Debian resources

Note that not all Polish documents are up-to-date. There has been many important changes in Debian, since Etch is stable. Some Polish resources may not include all that changes.

Where to look for help in Polish language

There are several other Polish sites about Debian, but they weren't updated for some time.

Making Debian Polish

Formerly much of work was put in Polish Documentation of Debian Project (PDDP), but today it seems to be not active.
Information about translated packages and Debian web pages are available on the statistics pages.
If you would like to help in translation (e.g. installation messages, packages descriptions, programs interfaces, WWW pages like this, documentation etc.) or if you have another idea what could be placed on this or other Debian pages, send an e-mail on the debian-l10n-polish@lists.debian.org list.
