I have used ldapvi with:
ldapvi --host ldap -ZZ --bind simple --tls allow -D 'cn=admin,ou=People,dc=skole,dc=skolelinux,dc=no'

But only direkt on tjener and only change a MAC ID. But that seems 
to work.
